Community Garden

 

We are excited to announce that Ekar Farm will be managing the Community Garden in 2017 and moving forward.  Ekar Farm is very excited to take on this new managerial role.  As an integral part of our community the garden will be able to receive more focus and attention from Ekar Farm staff and volunteers.  Some of the benefits of an Ekar managed garden will include better access to tools and supplies, a more cohesive and community based experience, and a more functional and aesthetically pleasing garden space.

Our next meeting at the farm is scheduled for April 2nd from 10am – 12am (weather date is April 23rd).  We highly encourage anyone who is interested in having a plot at our Community Garden to attend this meeting.  At this meeting we will review:

– Our brand new “Community Garden Rules and Regulations”
– Community Farm work days
– Our policy on free and reduced cost plots

– Plot assignments and collection of dues

Ekar Farm will continue to sign up gardeners for plots until they are filled, usually by May 1st.  If after that you would still like to have a plot at our Community Garden you will be added to the wait list.  Before you sign up for a plot or send any emails please review our “Rules and Regulations” as your questions may be answered in this document.  Any additional questions or comments or if you would like to sign up for a plot please email jason@ekarfarm.org.
