The Space
Ekar Farm is a 2-acre farm located in Denver, Colorado. We are situated on a parcel of land in the Lowry neighborhood of Denver, adjacent to the Denver Academy of Torah. We utilize a number of growing techniques to regenerate the soil on the land we are on.
Ekar Farm grows 100% of its produce through sustainable organic methods, never relying on synthetic inputs. We practice systems of regenerative farming and work to leave the land in better condition than we found it. Ekar Farm produces the majority of its harvest on traditional in-ground beds. We utilize drip irrigation to conserve water use and practice mulching and cover cropping to restore nutrients to the soil. We have two high tunnels on our property which support seed starting in the spring and allow us to extend our season in the fall.
Ekar Farm also dedicates eight 70-foot beds to Spirit of the Sun, a local indigenous- and womxn-led organization, that focuses on native growing techniques and cultural practice.
We also have a Community Garden space with forty 100 square foot beds available to local community members.
